Horny Matches is an adult dating site that was launched
in 2004 by a company based in Belgium. There is something
strangely familiar about the look and feel of the site,
which looks tastefully presented in whites and yellows,
and quite easy to navigate.

Get the lowdown on Horny Matches
Standard membership on Horny Matches (like with
most adult personals websites) is free for new users. You can update
to a Silver Membership, which will cost you $ 59.95 for 3 months
and $ 36.24 for 1 month, or to a Gold Membership, which will cost
you $ 69.95 for 3 months plus 1 month free and $ 34.95 for 1 month
of membership. All subscription packages renew after expiring at
the regular 30-day rate, and you can disable automatic renewals
after upgrading. You can pay to play with a credit
card.
The layout of Horny Matches is reminiscent of another
popular adult dating site. The user icons though are grainy, outdated
and more like the work of a student in web design rather than a
master. Users can edit their profile and personal preferences, view
their membership status and manage up to five photos to improve
their chances of being contacted by other members.
Their search
engine is also similar to that other adult dating site (can anyone
say clone?), where users can narrow down their searches to sexual
preferences, body types, etc. Your searches can be saved, though
it doesn’t say if you have a maximum number of saved searches.
If you see anyone you are interested, you can send them a Wink (which
is the closest that you can send a message to them as a Standard
Member) or add them to your Hotlist. (Again, doesn’t this
sound so familiar?)
You can also rate member photos, if allowed.
You may also invite new friends to become part of your adult dating network.
The site also has a Cupid page where you can indicate what kind
of person (or people) you are looking for, and the system will send
you your matches via e-mail, if you have indicated so in your preferences.
Unless you are a Gold or Silver member on Horny
Matches, however, you will not be able to contact members directly
if you are only a Standard (Free) member. They, however, may be
able to contact you (if you’re lucky). I could go on and on,
but somehow I am not too impressed, knowing that everything looks
like it’s been copied from somewhere else.
Overall, Horny Matches is an entertaining site,
not because of the content and services, but it’s rather feeble
attempt to clone a well-known personal site in the same category.
I mean, come on…you’re consciously ripping off the public.
If you want to stay in this business longer, you have to come up
with some fresh ideas, people. For my money, I’d rather go
to the original.
