Unfortunately, a number of poor site design choices on Pornstar Classics, plus the DRM restrictions on the PornstarClassics videos (a 'feature' not mentioned in the Pornstar Classics tour), severely lessen the overall value of Pornstar Classics.
The eighties were a time of big hair and bigger stars than you get in today's porn industry, and Pornstar Classics has a good number of the ones you remember. You'll get everything you hazily remember on Pornstar Classics, from the wafer-thin plots and cheesy acting to the all-out orgies at the end and the synthesizer-heavy soundtracks that cover up most of the sound. From Amber Lynn to Ron Jeremy, Pornstar Classics will take you on a spunky ride into an admittedly tamer past.
There are over a hundred movies on Pornstar Classics as of this writing, with more being added on a more-or-less weekly basis. Given the limitations of the videotaped source material, the movies you get on PornstarClassics are surprisingly clear, and don't have any of the rips or wear and tear you might expect (and the same can be said of the porn stars).
And while the Pornstar Classics movies can be streamed or downloaded, they can only be downloaded by DRM-protected Pornstar Classics clips. This means that you can only watch your downloaded Pornstar Classics clips while your subscription is active, and not after you let it expire. Pornstar Classics is quick to say in the tour that its movies are 'fully downloadable,' but somehow neglects to mention the DRM part. Be warned!
DRM is just the beginning of Pornstar Classics' problems. The Pornstar Classics site is clogged with advertisements, some of which are disguised as content links. Pornstar Classics has clumsy navigation and appears ill-maintained and slow, and lacks any link to a means of canceling your membership (which can be done at billingsupport.com). To be of better value, PornstarClassics needs a significant overhaul in design, one that makes getting around the site easier, and gives more accurate information in the Pornstar Classics tour.
Pornstar Classics includes a dozen or so picture galleries in addition to its video content, along with a number of third-party amateur videos and live sex show feeds. It is also part of the All Porn Access network, which consists of sites that are on the whole much better maintained than Pornstar Classics.
Pornstar Classics does not offer a trial membership, instead offering only membership at a recurring $24.95 per month. Whether PornstarClassics' cost is worth it or not depends on how curious you are about how your memories of eighties' porn match the actuality. Given the paucity of competition in the eighties nostalgia niche, despite Pornstar Classics' deep flaws, your answer may be 'yes.'
